The purpose of Trackunit Community is to connect construction across the globe and exchange knowledge to eliminate downtime. Diversity is our strength. To keep our community happy and productive, we ask that you keep a few basic ground rules in mind:
- Be welcoming, friendly, and patient. Some members are new to telematics - you were there once yourself, remember? Some are seasoned professionals and subject matter experts. Not everyone is a native English speaker. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Good manners go a long way.
- Be thankful. When you get an answer to your question, remember to accept the answer that worked for you as the solution. This shows your appreciation and helps other community members find the right solution quickly.
- Be active. You joined this community to solve problems, and you expect solutions. Share your knowledge, and help others by answering questions when you can. They’ll return the favor.
- Be thorough.
- Describe your problem as thoroughly as possible when you ask a question, and attach pictures if necessary. But keep in mind that this is an open forum. Don't share passwords, serial numbers, and other sensitive information.
- Choose the category that best suits your question and then add message tags to elaborate on the type of issue - e.g. configuration, security, bug, etc.
- Be respectful. We all get frustrated now and then, but that’s no excuse for bad behavior. Personal attacks, insults, harassment, and other exclusionary behaviour will not be tolerated.
