Hi

The text says “This UX shows you might send two commands -  "Engine Disable" & "Engine Speed Limit" - right from Manager to your machine out in the field.”

  • Does the machine manufacturer decide which commands are allowed over the air, or will any machine with a TU700 be able to execute an “Engine disable” command?
  • Who will have access to the Command OTA? OEM, Rental or contractor? or is that setup per machine?
  • Does TU700 interpret the command and issue the correct CAN bus codes or is TU700 transparent to the C-OTA?

Hi Nikolaj,

Some answers -

  • yes the OEM is very much responsible and part of process. They will work to configure command and decide on the behaviour only for their machines. There is a mechanism to assign Remote Commands to certain machines and only those machines will have that capability available
  • So Machine Owner (rental or contractor) will have access to the Remote Commands capability. The account will need to install a marketplace app to enable that capability in their account on that machine
  • TU700 doesn’t interpret anything. The OEM will need to help us understand where to send the write instruction to and what the instruction should be

Happy to discuss more in details offline!
