New to the community? Welcome! Here’s what you need to know

What can you expect?

The Trackunit Community is here to connect construction across the globe and exchange knowledge to eliminate downtime. The users are peers, professionals, Trackunit Employees, and partners. We are here to support and learn from each other, so be generous, curious, and kind.

The goal is to answer all requests as soon as possible, but if you sit with a very urgent matter we suggest you contact Technical Support through the Messenger in the lower left corner of the Help Center or by calling them

How does it work?

Trackunit Community is your support hub. From here you can ask questions, get inspiration, share your knowledge, help peers, and provide input to the features in development through the Product Portal.

When you type your issue into the search bar the site will search both Help Center and Community for solutions to your problem. Click any suggestion that matches your search. If your issue is not solved by any of the existing content, you simply click “Ask question to the community” and start typing.

You can also use the “ASK QUESTION” button in the top right corner.

How do you ask a question?

The first step in getting a great and useful answer is posting a descriptive and detailed question. Here are some tips for phrasing a good question:

  • Start with a summary
    • Choose a title to your question that summarizes the problem you need help solving before going into any details. Consider “Alert” vs “Error when creating a site-based theft alert”

  • Provide the context and relevant details
    • Which platform were you using (Trackunit Manager, Verify, Trackunit Go, etc.)
    • Is there hardware involved?
    • What were you trying to do, when you got stuck?
    • Upload any relevant screenshots (e.g. system error messages). Remember to blur out any business sensitive data such a IPs and login credentials.
    • Tell us what browser you are using
    • Describe what you have done to try to solve the problem yourself
    • If relevant, provide steps to reproduce your problem

  • Select a category and add tags
    • Select the category that best fits your question
    • Add relevant tags to your question to help get the right eyes on it
    • Remember you can follow tags to get notifications whenever something new happens

When you get an answer?

When there’s activity on your question, you’ll get a notification sent to your e-mail. Mark the solution that worked for you as “Best answer” to help others that may be facing a similar issue quickly find the best answer.

And don’t forget to hit the like-button when you get information that is valuable to you! This is a nice way of letting the people helping you know that you appreciate it :)

Finally - go have fun! Engage with the people and the content here. Community is a shared project and you get what you give - and remember to keep the Community Guidelines in mind 🤗
