Access control - different kind of keys

Hello!I started today with the access control. I have read the manuals for setting. In this documentation it is written that there is an administrative key and a priority key.Can someone explain me what is the difference between a normal key and a priority key?And I don't see in my settings the field to assign the administrative key. Why my machine is working 24 hours ?

Hi all,Have you ever seen a machine working 24h per day?Don’t worry, this behavior can be quickly corrected.Most of time it happen when the machine Main Switch is activated.To correct it : the pink wire (Input 4) must be connected to the ground :Last step : go on Verify and activate the Input Filtering option : Please note : after the activation the configuration will be updated after the next time data is sent.

Trackunit Manager Status?

Which wires are mandatory for a Trackunit installation ?

In our specifications we ask to connect at least 4 mandatory wires and an additional one depending of the machine isolator type. Among those 4 (+1) wires we have :- The red and the dark blue wires. They are the wire for the unit power supply. To allow the unit to wake up and work and charge the internal backup battery the unit need to be connected to a proper power supply. The red wires is the (+) and the dark blue for the ground signal (-) .The 2 others mandatory inputs are the white wire (input 1) and the brown wire (input 2)- The White wire (IN1) signal will mainly be used to determine the machine activity (total hours or productive hours) , the machine status and engine status.- The Brown wire (IN2) signal will allow the system to capture operating time, and the unit to register trips, kilometers and odometer. It is also the default signal as access control sensor and is also the signal that trigger the CAN data readings when connected. This input is also a backup solution for idle

Satrak unit does not update? (For UK Customers)

Do a hard reboot Disconnect the main Satrak unit/device from the power supply for 20 minutes and pull the sim card out. After 20 minutes put everything back together and the unit should update. If this does not work, we can have a look into arranging an engineer to come out and check the unit and see if it needs replacing.

Keypad Lights (Access Control) What does it mean?

The importance of the keypad LED lights, tells you exactly how the unit is responding to your inputs on the keypad.In this short visual guide, we'll delve into the access control and how the LED lights on the keypad are utilized to enhance security and user experience. Trackunit Keypad LED Lights (Access Control)-Left LED (orange) indicates power to the DualID, always on, but blinks when pin/card is entered-Right LED (green) indicates if machine is unlocked, steady green=unlocked, blinking=unlocked but waiting for ignition, will lock again if no ignition signal before keyvalid timer expire-Right LED (red) indicates error, indication from DualID itself, will become orange if machine is unlocked-Middle LED (red) indicates locked state, steady=locked, blinking=key expire timer runs, going to lock

How do I delete my Kin unit?

A Trackunit Tech Supporter Can't Find Your Machine?

Have you ever reported an issue using your 🚛 Machine's details and the Tech Supporter that receives the case tells you they don't have your machine in their records and is asking for a serial number. Quite annoying isn't it? 😤 Where would you be able to find the serial number they are asking you for.One tip from a Trackunit Tech Supporter, as soon as you have your unit activated, you can have it customized to your preference once it is in your account. 😃We have our Specifications tab available to both Trackunit Manager and Trackunit Go app where you can fill in information like the name of unit, brand of equipment, type, model, production year, and VIN to easily identify your asset in the system.Once saved, this information will be updated to all our platforms. If M-Series device is not updating/reporting machine run hour data.

If the device is not updating/reporting machine run hour data, try the following: Run the machine’s engine uninterrupted for at least 30 minutes Make sure that the device is mounted in a location with an unobstructed view of the sky (If installed) Check the inline fuses Ensure the Engine Run (White) wire receives 12V to 24V DC on combustion engine equipment or up to 48V on electric machines when the engine is running (On)If you are still experiencing issues after attempting the solutions above, please reach out to our experienced Support Team at supportus@trackunit.com and include the following information:Asset Number Device Serial Number

I can’t find my machine, how do I find it using my Trackunit?

Why is my trackunit location inaccurate?

There are many possible issues that could cause the location of your GPS unit to be inaccurate.GPS:“a navigational system using satellite signals to fix the location of a radio receiver on or above the earth's surface”GPS works by triangulating the device with the location information from the satellite network. While this technology is certainly advanced it is not perfect. Let’s cover some of the common issues with a Trackunit GPS device.GPS Drift: As stated before GPS is not 100% accurate. Sometimes you can have a drift of the “location” of the unit due to a variety of factors from weather to hardware performance of the unit. This can sometimes be misread as “Activity” when the drift consists of several units of measurement.Weak GPS Signal: Damage to the Trackunit device can interfere with the device communication ability. This can be checked by looking at the LED light on the Trackunit device.Physical obstruction of the device: Physical interference to the satellite above can occur

Why are the total hours doubled when I’m getting hours via canbus?

This occurs when the hours start are the same as the total hours coming from canbus. The hours start gets added onto the canbus hours causing doubled total hours. Double check ensure you are getting hours via canbus in New Manager or Verify. A. Search serial number B. Click arrow to see latest can data C. Confirm engine total hours are coming in via canbusNote: If the machine doesnt provide hours via canbus the unit will count hours on the input 1 wire. After confirming your getting hours via canbus go to Manager Classic then click the settings tab. Search for asset then hit edit.Change hours start to 0 and click save.The total hours in Manager will now adjust and match the total hours coming from canbus.

The unit will show in your account if a partner shares the visibility with you. In order to update the metadata, you must be the owner and request a transfer to your account.

What do the LED lights on my Trackunit mean?

There are many different color and light combinations of a trackunit to indicate the status and health of the unit.The color combinations can tell you if the device has power, has a GPS position and connection to a mobile network. We need to remove a sub-account, what do we need to do?

Trackunit Manager allows you to get a full overview of all your assets in one place. It allows for your fleets data to be connected, collected and presented in real time. A sub-account allows this data to be focused and streamlined into organizational groups. Once a sub-account is no longer needed, it can easily be removed:In Trackunit Manager select Manager Classic.Select Admin from the menu at the top (make sure the Customers option is selected).Highlight the sub-account that is no longer needed.Select Delete from the menu bar above. Sub-accounts are key to organizing your Fleet, but a question one might ask: Is there such a thing as too many sub-accounts?

Monitor the movement of your assets and receive alerts if they leave a predefined area to keep your fleet secure.Setup alert in simple steps:Sign in to Trackunit manager, Create new alert, Choose the Site-based Theft Alert.
